This is an excellent paper. First, \textit{J. Bence, B. Merriman} and \textit{S. Osher} [Diffusion generated motion by mean curvature. Preprint (1992)] proposed a very simple approximation scheme for computing motions by mean curvature of hypersurfaces in the \(n\)-dimensional space. In this paper, using the same kind of ideas, the author studies related but more general schemes which provides the approximations of different types of curvature-dependent motions. Given such a motions, the author considers a family of compact hypersurfaces of which the initial one is along this paper the boundary of a mixed open bounded subset of the \(n\)-dimensional space. Besides, the author describes in way complete the scheme.
