Pontryagin duality for topological Abelian groups (Q5953578)

The article under review contains a complete characterization of the \(P\)-reflexive topological Abelian groups, i.e., the groups satisfying the Pontryagin-van Kampen duality. The characterization theorem corrects previous results by \textit{R. Venkataraman} [Math. 149, 109-119 (1976; Zbl 0313.43011)] and \textit{S.-H. Kye} [Chin. J. Math. 12, 129-136 (1984; Zbl 0594.46001)] and contains four necessary conditions on a group, the combination of which makes the group to be \(P\)-reflexive. S. Hernández also shows that each of the four conditions is independent of the rest.
