Let \(M^{n}\to S^{n+1}\) be an umbilic-free hypersurface in the unit sphere. Basic Möbius invariants of \(M^{n}\) are its Möbius metric \(g\) and Möbius second fundamental form \(B\), which determine \(M^{n}\to S^{n+1}\) up to Möbius equivalence in \(S^{n+1}\) [\textit{M. A. Akivis} and \textit{V. V. Goldberg}, Pure Appl. Math. New York: Wiley (1996; Zbl 0863.53002)]. The authors classify all umbilic-free hypersurfaces with parallel Möbius second fundamental form in \(S^{n+1}\). Contrary to classifications of hypersurfaces with parallel second fundamental form in space forms, which were obtained in Riemannian geometry, the situation in the Möbius geometry is quite different. The crucial difference is that for a hypersurface in \(S^{n+1}\) with parallel Möbius second fundamental form the number \(\gamma\) of distinct Möbius principal curvatures can be either 2 or 3. If \(\gamma=2\), then a Möbius classification was proposed in \textit{H. Li, H. Liu}, \textit{C. P. Wang} and \textit{G. S. Zhao} [Acta Math. Sin., Engl. Ser. 18, 437--446 (2002; Zbl 1030.53017)]. The case \(\gamma=3\) leads to new non-trivial classes of hypersurfaces in \(S^{n+1}\) with parallel Möbius second fundamental form, which are discussed in detail.
