The book is a welcome revised version of the well known book of Griffiths and Morgan published thirty years ago [Zbl 0474.55001]. The main structure is essentially the same and leads to a direct and intuitive presentation of the main tools and results of rational homotopy theory. A lot of small complements have been added at different places to make the reading more easy. Moreover the text contains three major additions. The first one is a new and quite short proof of the correspondence between rational models and Postnikov towers, based on simplicial models for principal fibrations and polynomial forms. The second addition is a short presentation of Quillen rational homotopy theory. The relation between Quillen'construction and the Sullivan minimal model is explained and presented as Theorem 17.1 (for a proof see [\textit{M. Majewski}, ``Rational homotopical models and uniqueness'', Mem. Am. Math. Soc. 682, 149 p. (2000; Zbl 0942.55015)]). The third addition is an interesting introduction to \(A_\infty\) and \(C_\infty\) structures in topology, with a presentation of the rational model of Kadeishvili consisting of the cohomology of a space with a \(C_\infty\) structure.
