It is well known that a finite group \(G\) possessing three Abelian (respectively, nilpotent, soluble) subgroups of pairwise relatively prime indices in \(G\) is Abelian (respectively, nilpotent, soluble). However, the corresponding result does not hold for supersoluble groups. The paper under review establishes conditions for positive results in this sense. The main results in the paper are the following: Theorem 1.1. Let \(G\) be a finite group \(H\), \(K\) and \(L\) supersoluble subgroups of \(G\) with pairwise relatively prime indices in \(G\). Suppose that \(G'\) is nilpotent. Then \(G\) is supersoluble. Theorem 1.2. Let \(\pi(G)\) denote the set of prime divisors of \(|G|\) and \(\max(\pi(G))\) denote the largest prime divisor of \(|G|\). Suppose that \(G\) is a finite group with three supersoluble subgroups \(H\), \(K\), and \(L\) whose indices in \(G\) are pairwise relatively prime, \(q\nmid p-1\) where \(p=\max(\pi(G))\) and \(q=\max(\pi(L))\), and \(L\) is a Hall \(p'\)-subgroup of \(G\). Then \(G\) is supersoluble. Related results for groups having three maximal supersoluble subgroups whose indices are three different primes, where obtained by \textit{K. Wang} [in Northeast. Math. J. 17, No. 2, 221-225 (2001; Zbl 1018.20014)].
