The authors investigate continuum Schrödinger operators, namely self-adjoint operators on a dense linear subspace, with appropriate restrictions on the potential involved. Of particular interest are the ergodic dynamically defined potentials. They prove that the spectrum of a limit-periodic Schrödinger operator is absolutely continuous, when the potential obeys a certain condition. For a dense set of these operators, the implication is that they have a continuous spectrum on a given homogeneous set. Implications for other potentials also exist.
