    Let \(\mu\) be a finite positive Borel measure on the interval \([- \pi,\pi]\). One defines the polynomials \(\varphi_ n(\zeta)=\varphi_ n(\zeta,\mu)=K_ n\zeta^ n+\dots\) orthonormal on the unit circle with respect to \(\mu\) by requiring that \(K_ n>0\) and the relations \[ {1\over 2\pi} \int_{-\pi}^ \pi \varphi_ n(e^{i\theta})\overline{\varphi_ m(e^{i\theta})}d\mu(\theta)= \delta_{m,n} \] hold for \(m,n\geq 0\). If \(\sum_{\nu=n}^ \infty |\varphi_ \nu(0)|^ 2=O({1\over n})\) and \(f\) belongs to the closed subspace of \(L_ \mu^ 2\) spanned by polynomials of \(e^{i\theta}\), then the expansion of \(f(\theta)\) with respect to the polynomials \(\varphi_ n(e^{i\theta})\) is almost everwhere strongly \((C,1)\)-summable to \(f(\theta)\). That is, \[ \lim_{n\to\infty} {1\over n} \sum_{\nu=0}^{n-1} | s_ \nu(\theta)-f(\theta)|=0 \] holds for almost every \(\theta\in[- \pi,\pi]\), where \(s_ \nu(\theta)\) are the \(\nu\)th partial sums of the expansion \(f(\theta)\sim\sum_{j=0}^ \infty c_ j\varphi_ j(e^{i\theta})\).
