Let \(c_ 1,c_ 2,...,c_ 7\) be seven distinct cycles in the complete graph of 4 vertices \(K_ 4\). Theorem: For any ordered knots \(k_ 1,k_ 2,...,k_ 7\), there is a spatial embedding \(\phi\) of \(K_ 4\) such that \(\phi (c_ i)=k_ i\), \(i=1,2,...,7\). This is a generalization of Kinoshita's result on \(\theta\)-curves, where a \(\theta\)-curve is a spatial graph with two vertices connected by three edges. Analogous results for other type of graphs have been obtained by M. Shimabara and H. Sachs.
