The authors solve a reduced wave problem in the exterior of a disc. They use their previous results on the solvability of the approximate problem and introduce two other assumptions. One of them concerns the solvability of the original (continuous) problem and the other restricts the class of Dirichlet boundary data. Consequently, they show that the approximation error is asymptotically exponentially decreasing with respect to the number of collocation points. Additionally, two numerical tests are carried out.
