How to Measure the Size of the MaRDI database
- We have to log into the he mardi production instance and get the file size of the latest backup
- There is a backup file that saves the entire database, and that is 27 GB at the moment
- To read the size of the backup files, one needs to enter the container named 'mardi-backup'. One can follow Option 2 as described in: https://portal.mardi4nfdi.de/wiki/Project:Access_Docker_container
- Once in the console inside the container, one just has to navigate to /data
- One will find that there are different files with name portal_db_backup_2024..., one is generated every day to have a fresh copy. One can check the current size.
