Let \((\mathbb{CP}^\infty,g_{FS})\) be the infinite-dimensional complex projective space equipped with its Fubini-Study metric. A problem which goes back to work of Bochner and Calabi in the 1950s is to study which complex manifolds admit a holomorphic isometric embedding into \((\mathbb{CP}^\infty,g_{FS})\) (a necessary and sufficient criterion was provided by Calabi, but it is not easy to check in practice). In particular, it is interesting to study which Kähler-Einstein manifolds admit such embeddings. If instead one looks at finite-dimensional complex projective spaces \((\mathbb{CP}^N,g_{FS})\), the only known isometrically embedded Kähler-Einstein submanifolds are homogeneous, and a folklore conjecture states that there are no others. By contrast, \textit{A. Loi} and \textit{M. Zedda} [Math. Ann. 350, No. 1, 145--154 (2011; Zbl 1222.53075)] constructed holomorphic isometric embeddings of nonhomogeneous Kähler-Einstein Cartan-Hartogs domains in \((\mathbb{CP}^\infty,g_{FS})\). In this paper the authors construct many more such embeddings of other noncompact nonhomogeneous Kähler-Einstein manifolds, which are obtained as Hartogs domains over the product of two irreducible bounded Hermitian symmetric domains.
