The author considers two classes of scalarizing functions in vector (or multiobjective) optimization in Hausdorff real topological vector spaces. The functions are assumed to be order representing and order preserving and minimal solutions and approximate minimal solutions are characterized and obtained with them. The author also shows that some existing scalarizing functions belong to the classes.
