Let \(f\) be a Siegel cusp form of weight \(k\) and degree \(r\). Denote by \([f ]^n_r\) the lift of \(f\) to a Siegel modular form of degree \(n\geq r\) via the Klingen-Eisenstein series, which exists under certain conditions on \(k\). Assume that \(f\) is a normalized simultaneous Hecke eigenform. Then the Fourier coefficients of \(f\) belong to some totally real algebraic number field \(\mathbb{Q} (f)\). The Fourier coefficients of the lift \([f ]^n_r\) are also contained in \(\mathbb{Q} (f)\). A common denominator of them is described in terms of the standard \(L\)-function attached to \(f\), some Bernoulli numbers and an ideal in \(\mathbb{Q} (f)\) depending only on \(f\). In the case \(r=0\) this result coincides with the Siegel-Böcherer theorem for Siegel-Eisenstein series. The main tools in the proof are the algebraicity of eigenvalues of Hecke operators, the structure of the space of Siegel modular forms as a module over the Hecke algebra, nonvanishing properties of the standard \(L\)-function and integrality of quotients of Petersson scalar products.
