A historical overview about the visual continuity, i.e. tangent and curvature continuity of composed curves and surfaces, is given. The investigations that have been made mainly last six years are shown. Different definitions of geometric continuity by different authors were compared already by the author [ibid. 20, No.7, 370-372 (1988; reviewed below)]. Some main results are presented and 35 references are listed.
