The authors obtain an alternative Toeplitz corona theorem for the algebra of pointwise kernel multipliers of certain Hilbert function spaces \(\mathcal{H}\), and for algebras of bounded analytic functions on domains of \(\mathbb{C}^n\). Analogously to the classical Toeplitz corona theorem, this result gives equivalences between the fact that the algebra satisfies the Corona Property and that \(\mathcal{H}\) verifies certain properties, for instance, the Baby Corona Property. A main difference with the Toeplitz corona theorem is that the reproducing kernel of \(\mathcal{H}\) does not need to be a complete Pick kernel, but must have the property that the kernel functions are invertible multipliers on \(\mathcal{H}\). The paper also contains a study of this alternative result for the Hardy space \(H^2\), the Bergman space \(A^2\) and the Besov spaces \(B^2_s\) on domains of \(\mathbb{C}^n\). In particular, it includes new corona theorems and new proofs of some well-known results.
