Let \(\mu\) be a measure generated by a weight function \(w\) from the Lebesgue measure in \(\mathbb{R}^n\). The weight \(w\) is assumed to satisfy a weak reverse Hölder conndition. A domain \(D\) of finite \(\mu\)-measure in \(\mathbb{R}^n\) is called an \(L^s(\mu)\)-averaging domain if the \(L^s(\mu)\)-avarage of \(|u-u_{B_0}|\) over \(D\) for some ball \(B_0\) can be estimated with a similar average over all balls \(B\) such that \(4B\subset D\). For a study of these domains see [\textit{S. G. Staples}, Ann. Acad. Sci. Fenn., Ser AI 14, 103-127 (1989; Zbl 0706.26010)]. The authors replace the \(L^s\)-norm with the norm determined by a continuous increasing convex function satisfying an exponential growth condition. In earlier papers by the second author and his coauthors it was shown that these domais remain invariant under bilipschitz mappings if the weight \(w\) is changed according to the mapping. Now the authors show that the same is true for quasiconformal mappings. They also prove that John domains are averaging domains in the new sense for any convex increasing function.
