The paper under review answers in the affirmative several questions on the \(\mathbb{R}\)-factorizability of paratopological groups (and related properties) posed in [\textit{M. Sanchis} and \textit{M. Tkachenko}, Topology Appl. 157, No. 4, 800--808 (2010; Zbl 1185.54034)] and [\textit{L.-H. Xie} and \textit{S. Lin}, Topology Appl. 160, No. 8, 979--990 (2013; Zbl 1295.22004)]. In particular, the authors show that (a) every subgroup of \(H\) is \(\mathbb{R}_2\)-factorizable provided \(H\) is a paratopological group satisfying the \(T_1\) separation axiom whose associated topological group \(H^*\) is a Lindelöf \(\Sigma\)-space; (b) dense subgroups of topological products of \(\sigma\)-compact paratopological groups satisfying the \(T_1\) separation axiom are \(\mathbb{R}_2\)-factorizable; (c) every totally \(\omega\)-narrow paratopological group with property \(\omega\)-QU is \(\mathbb{R}\)-factorizable; (d) each quotient of a Tychonoff \(\mathbb{R}\)-factorizable paratopological group is \(\mathbb{R}\)-factorizable as well; (e) a Tychonoff paratopological group is \(\mathbb{R}\)-factorizable iff it is totally \(\omega\)-narrow and has property \(\omega\)-QU; (f) each \(\sigma\)-compact paratopological group is \(\mathbb{R}\)-factorizable. (A paratopological group \(G\) is \textit{totally \(\omega\)-narrow} if its associated topological group is \(\omega\)-narrow; and \(G\) has property \(\omega\)-QU if all continuous real-valued functions on \(G\) are \(\omega\)-quasi-uniformly continuous.) The paper is concluded with a few open problems, e.g.: (1) Is every regular \(\mathbb{R}\)-factorizable paratopological group totally \(\omega\)-narrow? (2) Is a regular paratopological group whose associated topological group is \(\mathbb{R}\)-factorizable also \(\mathbb{R}\)-factorizable?
