Let \(F_p\) denote the Fermat curve defined by \(x^p+y^p+z^p=0\), where \(p\) is a prime number \(\geq 5\). In [\textit{P. Barraza} and \textit{A. M. Rojas}, Arch. Math. 104, No. 2, 145--155 (2015; Zbl 1342.14061)], by considering the action of the full group of conformal automorphisms of \(F_p\), it was shown that the Jacobian variety \(\mathrm{JF}_p\) is isogenous to \(B^6\times B_0^3\times \prod_{i=1}^{(p-7)/6}B_i^6\) when \(p\equiv 1\pmod 3\), and that \(\mathrm{JF}_p\) is isogenous to \(B_0^3\times \prod_{i=1}^{(p-5)/6}B_i^6\) when \(p\equiv 2\pmod 3\), where \(\mathrm{dim}B_i=(p-1)/2\) and \(\mathrm{dim}B=(p-1)/6\). In the present paper the authors show that the factors in the decomposition are Jacobian varieties of certain cyclic \(p\)-gonal curves and specify their defining equations. Furthermore they show that the decompositions of \(\mathrm{JF}_p\) given in [\textit{N. Aoki}, Am. J. Math. 113, No. 5, 779--833 (1991; Zbl 0752.14021)] coincides with the one investigated in this paper for the prime \(p\) case.
