The ratio \(\rho \) of canonical forms plays important roles in investigating the global properties of weakly complete flat forms in \(\mathbb{H}^3\). The purpose of this work is to study the value-distribution-theoretic properties of \(\rho \). A main result is a ramification theorem which is sharp and corresponds to the defect relation in Nevanlinna theory. Two applications of this result are given.
