In this paper, a characterization of linear canonoid transformations on symplectic manifolds are considered and bi-Hamiltonian structures are generated for some mechanical systems. Using this characterization the behavior of the harmonic oscillator under canonoid transformations are studied. In some cases, the canonoid transformations are presented in coordinate-free forms. With introducing Poissonoid transformations the idea of canonoid transformations was generalized to Poisson manifolds. Some examples of such transformations for Euler's equations of the rigid body (on \(\mathfrak{so}^*(3)\) and \(\mathfrak{so}^*(4)\)) and for an integrable case of Kirchhoff's equations for the motion of a rigid body immersed in an ideal fluid are considered. The relationship between bi-Hamiltonian structures and Poissonoid transformations for these examples was studies and the link between Poissonoid transformations, constants of motion, and symmetries are represented.
