Let \(D\) be a domain in \(\mathbb C^2\) with smooth boundary \(bD\) and \(g\) a regular holomorphic function in a neighborhood \(U\) of \(\overline {D}\) defining a non-singular complex curve \(C=\{z\in U\mid g(z)=0\}\). Assume that \(C\) intersects \(bD\) transversally and that \(D\) is of finite type in the sense that the maximum order of contact of \(bD\) with germs of non-singular complex analytic sets is finite at every \(P\in bD\). The main result of the paper is a criterion for a positive finite Borel measure \(\mu\) supported on \(C\cap D\) which ensures that every holomorphic function \(F\) on \(D\) which is \(p\)-integrable with respect to the volume measure, i.e. \(\int_D|F(z)|^pdV<\infty\), is also \(p\)-integrable on \(C\cap D\) with respect to \(\mu\), \(1\leq p<\infty\). The criterion says, roughly speaking, that for a specific family of suitable pseudoballs \((Q_i\subset D\mid i\in I)\) the family \[ \bigg\{\frac{\mu\big(Q_i\cap (C\cap D)\big)}{V(Q_i)}\;\Big|\; i\in I\bigg\} \] should be bounded. For the methods of proof see also the author's paper [Ill. J. Math. 54, No. 2, 509--542 (2010; Zbl 1233.32005)] where extension problems for \(p\)-integrable functions on non-singular hypersurfaces of convex finite type domains are considered.
