    The Sobolev norm is defined with the help of \( k+1 \) measures \( \mu=(\mu_0,\ldots,\mu_k) \) in \( \mathbb{R} \) and \( 1\leq p<\infty \) as \[ \| f\|_{W^{k,p}(\mu)}=\left(\sum_{j=0}^{k}\left\| f^{(j)}\right\|_{L^p(\mu_j)}^p\right)^{1/p} \] for appropriate functions \( f. \) The first part of the paper is devoted to Markov type inequalities of the form \[ \| P'\|_{W^{k,2}(w,\lambda_1w,\ldots,\lambda_kw)}\leq C n^{\alpha} \| P\|_{W^{k,2}(w,\lambda_1w,\ldots,\lambda_kw)} \] for generalized classical weights. For example, \( \alpha=2 \) for the generalized Jacobi weight \( w(x)=h(x)\prod_{j=1}^r|x-c_j|^{\gamma_j} \) with \( c_1,\ldots, c_r\in\mathbb{R}, \) \( \gamma_1,\ldots,\gamma_r\in\mathbb{R}, \) \( \gamma_j>-1 \) when \( c_j\in[a,b], \) and \( h \) a measurable function satisfying \( 0<m\leq h\leq M \) in \([a,b],\lambda_1,\ldots,\lambda_k\geq 0,\) \( P\in \mathbb{P}_n. \) The second part contains such basic results on Sobolev spaces with respect to the vector measures as separability, reflexivity, uniform convexity and duality.
