Tldr The paper develops a factorization method for magnetic induction tomography based on a divergence-free current vector potential and external excitation by dipole densities; it recasts this into a Hilbert-space setting to show that the range of the data operator is equal to the range of the square root of the dissipative near-field operator, leading to a non-iterative spectral indicator for support recovery.
