A Theorem about Three Quadratic Forms

Abstract: We prove a self-improvement property regarding quadratic forms on arbitrary vector spaces. We discuss several consequences of this result, in particular those concerning dimension-free L^p estimates of certain singular integral operators (Riesz transforms).
