A stable nonlinear trapezoidal method based on the geometric mean of the function \(f(x_ n,y_ n)\) and \(f(x_{n+1},y_{n+1})\) for the initial value problem \(y'=f(x,y)\), \(y(0)=y_ 0\) is developed.
