Abstract: We provide sufficient conditions for the asymptotic normality of the generalized correlation coefficient $sum{a}_{ij}{b}_{ij}$ under the permutation null distribution when $a_{ij}$'s are symmetric and $b_{ij}$'s are symmetric.
