A surface which contains planar geodesics
From MaRDI portal
Parts of round spheres or planes in 3-space are characterized by the following properties: 1) Through each point of the surface there pass at least four planar geodesics. 2) Through each point there pass at least two planar geodesics with nonvanishing (spatial) curvature (sphere). 3) The surface contains two families of lines intersecting at a constant angle (plane).
