An unusual continued fraction
From MaRDI portal
Abstract: We consider the real number with continued fraction expansion , where is the largest power of dividing . We compute the irrationality measure of and demonstrate that (and ) are both transcendental numbers. We also show that certain partial quotients of grow doubly exponentially, thus confirming a conjecture of Hanna and Wilson.
