Centralizing Traces and Lie Triple Isomorphisms on Triangular Algebras

From MaRDI portal

Abstract: Let mathcalT be a triangular algebra over a commutative ring mathcalR and mathcalZ(T) be the center of mathcalT. Suppose that mathfrakqcolonmathcalTimesmathcalTlongrightarrowmathcalT is an mathcalR-bilinear mapping and that mathfrakTmathfrakqcolon:mathcalTlongrightarrowmathcalT is a trace of mathfrakq. We describe the form of mathfrakTmathfrakq satisfying the condition [mathfrakTmathfrakq(T),T]inmathcalZ(T) for all TinmathcalT. The question of when mathfrakTmathfrakq has the proper form will be addressed. Using the aforementioned trace function, we establish sufficient conditions for each Lie triple isomorphism on mathcalT to be almost standard. As applications we characterize Lie triple isomorphisms of triangular matrix algebras and nest algebras. Some further research topics related to current work are proposed at the end of this article.
