Classifying the set where a Baire 1 function is approximately continuous
Continuity and related questions (modulus of continuity, semicontinuity, discontinuities, etc.) for real functions in one variable (26A15) Classification of real functions; Baire classification of sets and functions (26A21) Differentiation (real functions of one variable): general theory, generalized derivatives, mean value theorems (26A24)
The author gives a full characterization of the set of points at which a Baire 1 function (a derivative) f: (a,b)\(\to R\) is approximately continuous. This solves a problem raised by \textit{A. Bruckner} [Differentiation of real functions (1978; Zbl 0382.26002), p. 48].
