Conformal Submersion with Horizontal Distribution

From MaRDI portal

Abstract: In this article, conformal submersion with horizontal distribution of Riemannian manifolds is defined which is a generalization of the affine submersion with horizontal distribution. Then, a necessary condition is obtained for the existence of a conformal submersion with horizontal distribution. For the dual connections abla and overlineabla on manifold mathbfM and abla∗ and overlineabla∗ on manifold mathbfB, we show that pi:(mathbfM,abla)longrightarrow(mathbfB,abla∗) is a conformal submersion with horizontal distribution if and only if pi:(mathbfM,overlineabla)longrightarrow(mathbfB,overlineabla∗) is a conformal submersion with horizontal distribution. Also, we obtained a necessary and sufficient condition for picircsigma to become a geodesic of mathbfB if sigma is a geodesic of mathbfM for pi:(mathbfM,abla,gm)ightarrow(mathbfB,abla∗,gb) a conformal submersion with horizontal distribution.
