Description

The dataset includes information about the 542 municipalities of the Valencian region of Spain used in the paper: Alam-Sabater, L., Mrquez, M.A. and Tortosa-Ausina, E. (2022): "Spatio-sectoral heterogeneity and populationemployment dynamics: some implications for territorial development", Regional Studies, P. 1-24. DOI: 10.1080/00343404.2022.208872 Population variables were provided by both the Spanish National Statistics Institute (Instituto Nacional de Estadstica INE) and the Valencian Statistics Institute (Portal Estadstic de la Generalitat Valenciana). Employment data were obtained from the employment office of the Valencia Region. The period of analysis is 20102018.
