It is not necessary to understand the below. Filenames have the following forms: RUNNAME.0001765_timeseries_ave.nc contains simulation output for variables that are timeseries (1-dimensional) of a run RUNNAME. RUNNAME.0001765_full_ave.nc contains simulation output for more-dimensional variables (lat/lon/z/time) of a run RUNNAME. RUNNAME.out (inside 1_log_outfiles.zip)not used for figures; provides additional information that is printed during simulation. RUNNAME.*.parameter (inside 1_parameterfiles.zip)not used for figures; provides all parameter settings used in the simulation. Most relevant are RUNNAME.main.parameter (general settings) and RUNNAME.bgc.parameter (settings of biogeochemical module including Pa and Th). Freshwater forcings are defined in RUNNAME.fw.parameter RUNNAME.forcing.parameter. weak_amoc010sv.dat weak_amoc015sv.dat weak_amoc020sv.datnot used for figures; are the 3 forcing files for North Atlantic freshwater that result in an AMOC of ~14Sv, ~11Sv respectively ~9Sv. The model interpolates linearly between time steps given in the .dat file; the first simulation year is called 1765 in the model. 1_README.txtContains the same information as here + a list to match RUNNAME to the (clearer) runnames used in the manuscript. Here, RUNNAME corresponds to the original runname at time of simulation (exactly 10 characters). They can be matched to the (clearer) runnames used in the manuscript via the list given in 1_README.txt. In addition to the 27 runs used in the manuscript, 4 extra runs are shared: SPIN3INTEL: the spinup from which most runs started (an intel fortran compiler is used for all runs). WEAK010SV: a freshwater forcing of 0.10 Sv is turned on and the AMOC is run into its new equilibrium in this simulation. All _14Sv runs start from this run. WEAK015SV: idem for 0.15 Sv. All _11Sv runs start from this run. WEAK020SV: idem for 0.20 Sv. All _9Sv runs start from this run.
