Defect zero characters predicted by local structure
From MaRDI portal
Abstract: Let be a finite group and let be a prime. Assume that there exists a prime dividing which does not divide the order of any -local subgroup of . If is -solvable or divides , then has a -block of defect zero. The case is a well-known result by Brauer and Fowler.
