Defective eigensolutions and stiffness matrices
From MaRDI portal
The paper analyses the defective eigensolutions and stiffness matrices for differential equations. The entire process leading from eigensolutions to element matrix formulation is automated. It is also shown that the element matrices are free from all difficulties associated with the assumed shape function approach. The method is illustrated by examples.
