Abstract: For an irrational number we consider its irrationality measure function psi_alpha(x) = min_{1le qle x,, qinmathbb{Z}} | qalpha |. It is known for all irrational numbers and satisfying , there exist arbitrary large values of with egin{equation*} | psi_alpha(t) - psi_eta(t) | geqslant left( sqrt{ au} - 1
ight) cdot min( psi_alpha(t), psi_eta(t) ), end{equation*} where and this result is optimal for certain numbers equivalent to . Here we prove that for all irrational numbers and , satisfying , such that at least one of them is not equivalent to , there exist arbitrary large values of with | psi_alpha(t) - psi_eta(t) | geqslant (sqrt{sqrt2+1}-1)cdot min( psi_alpha(t), psi_eta(t) ). Moreover, we show that the constant on the right-hand side is optimal.
