Factorizations of characteristic functions
From MaRDI portal
Abstract: Let and be row contractions on and , respectively, and be a row operator from to . Let and and be the characteristic function of . Then coincides with the product of the characteristic function of , the Julia-Halmos matrix corresponding to and the characteristic function of . More precisely, coincides with [ egin{bmatrix} Theta_B & 0 \ 0 & I end{bmatrix} (I_Gamma otimes egin{bmatrix} L^* & (I - L^* L)^{frac{1}{2}} \ (I - L L^*)^{frac{1}{2}} & - L end{bmatrix}) egin{bmatrix} Theta_A & 0\ 0& Iend{bmatrix}, ] where is the full Fock space. Similar results hold for constrained row contractions.
