Finite element structural analysis and complementary energy
From MaRDI portal
The author discusses the possibilities of a re-emergence of the alternative principle of stationary potential energy. He identifies two main difficulties in solving the discretized equation and demonstrates the usefulness of the additional degrees of freedom at the boundaries where the tractions are prescribed.
