Consider the evolution problem \[ u^{\prime }(t)-Au(t)=f(t)z, u(0)=u_{0}, \] where \(A\) and \(z\) are given. The inverse problem is to identify the control \(f(t)\) from an observation \(\Phi \left( u\right) =g(t)\), where \(\Phi \) is a certain functional.
