Abstract: Let (fjj=1n,aujj=1n) and (gkk=1n,omegakk=1n) be two p-orthonormal bases for a finite dimensional Banach space mathcalX. Let M,Nsubseteq1,dots,n be such that egin{align*} o(M)^frac{1}{q}o(N)^frac{1}{p}< frac{1}{displaystyle max_{1leq j,kleq n}|g_k( au_j) |}, end{align*} where q is the conjugate index of p. Then for all xinmathcalX, we show that egin{align}label{FGJU} (1) quad quad quad quad |x|leq left(1+frac{1}{1-o(M)^frac{1}{q}o(N)^frac{1}{p}displaystylemax_{1leq j,kleq n}|g_k( au_j)|} ight)left[left(sum_{jin M^c}|f_j(x)|^p ight)^frac{1}{p}+left(sum_{kin N^c}|g_k(x) |^p ight)^frac{1}{p} ight]. end{align} We call Inequality (1) as extbf{Functional Ghobber-Jaming Uncertainty Principle}. Inequality (1) improves the uncertainty principle obtained by Ghobber and Jaming extit{[Linear Algebra Appl., 2011]}.
