Functions realizing as abelian group automorphisms
From MaRDI portal
Abstract: Let be a set and a bijective function. Necessary and sufficient conditions on are determined which makes it possible to endow with a binary operation such that is a cyclic group and . This result is extended to all abelian groups in case a prime. Finally, in case is countably infinite, those for which it is possible to turn into a group isomorphic to for some , and with , are completely characterised.
