Geometry of trinomials
Polynomials in real and complex fields: location of zeros (algebraic theorems) (12D10) Polynomials and rational functions of one complex variable (30C10) Zeros of polynomials, rational functions, and other analytic functions of one complex variable (e.g., zeros of functions with bounded Dirichlet integral) (30C15)
The study of location of the zeros of a general trinomial has a long history. It began in the 19th century and there are also woks of E. Landau in the beginning of the 20th century. The authors reexamine this question and obtain new zero inclusion regions in the complex plane that complement and improve known results.
