Group gradings on infinite dimensional upper triangular matrices

From MaRDI portal

Abstract: The classification of isomorphism classes of group gradings on a given algebra is an interesting problem. However, not much has been done in the context of non-simple algebras and the infinite-dimensional ones. In this work, we focus our attention on an algebra that is neither simple nor finite dimensional. More precisely, we classify the group gradings on the infinite upper triangular matrix algebra. The definition of an infinite-dimensional upper triangular matrix algebra is a particular case of a triangularizable algebra, in the sense defined by Mesyan. The topology on the infinite-dimensional algebras play a fundamental role in our main results.
