Invariants of linkage of modules

From MaRDI portal

Abstract: Let (A,mathfrakm) be a Gorenstein local ring and let M,N be two Cohen-Macaulay A-modules with M linked to N via a Gorenstein ideal mathfrakq. Let L be another finitely generated A-module. We show that ExtAi(L,M)=0 for all igg0 if and only if ToriA(L,N)=0 for all igg0. If D is Cohen-Macaulay then we show that ExtAi(M,D)=0 for all igg0 if and only if ExtAi(Ddagger,N)=0 for all igg0, where Ddagger=ExtAr(D,A) and r=codimD. As a consequence we get that ExtAi(M,M)=0 for all igg0 if and only if ExtAi(N,N)=0 for all igg0. We also show that EndA(M)/radEndA(M)cong(EndA(N)/radEndA(N))op. We also give a negative answer to a question of Martsinkovsky and Strooker.
