Let A be a finite dimensional algebra over an algebraically closed field K and let \(S_ 1,...,S_ n\) is a complete set of nonisomorphic simple R-modules. The main result of the paper is the following: A basic connected representation-finite K-algebra A is an iterated tilted algebra of one of the Euclidean types \(\tilde D_ n,\tilde E_ 6,\tilde E_ 7,\tilde E_ 8\) if and only if A is simply connected and the quadratic form \(q_ A\) of A on the Grothendieck group \(K_ 0(A)\) with the matrix \([c_{ij}]_{i,j=1,...,n}\) is positive semidefinite of corank one, where \[ c_{ij}=\sum_{s\geq 0}(-1)^ s\dim_ KExt^ s_ A(S_ i,S_ j). \]
