The purpose of this paper is to consider the \(J\)-theory diagram of May in the equivariant setting. Firstly, the author defines orientations for periodic cohomology theories (such as \(\text{KO}_G\)) and classifying spaces are constructed for this -- thus generalizing the work of \textit{S. Waner} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 258, No. 2, 385-405 (1980; Zbl 0447.55011)]. With the introduced definitions he shows that equivariant Spin-bundles have canonical KO-Thom classes, as in the nonequivariant case. For defining the maps between the classifying spaces in the equivariant \(J\)-theory diagram, the author turns to fiberwise completions of equivariant spherical fibrations. He gives a general construction for a map of classifying spaces associated to a ``map of fibers'' satisfying appropriate conditions. When \(G\) is an odd order \(p\)-group, this allows a classifying space formulation of the equivariant Adams conjecture. With \(G\) a \(p\)-group, \(p\) odd, the Adams-May square relating generalized characteristic classes and Adams operations is constructed and the author shows that this square is a pullback diagram in the homotopy category, but only after restricting to \(G\)-connected covers.
