The authors study dual curvature measures of origin-symmetric convex bodies in \(\mathbb{R}^n\). These are defined as \[ \tilde{\mathrm{C}}_q(K,\eta)=\frac{1}{n}\int\rho_K(u)^q\:\mathrm{d}\mathcal{H}^{n-1}(u) \] where \(\rho_K\) denotes the radial function of the convex body \(K\), \(q\) is a real number, \(\eta\) is a Borel subset of the sphere \(S^{n-1}\) and \(\mathcal{H}^{n-1}\) is the \((n-1)\)-dimensional Hausdorff measure. The integral is performed over the set of directions \(u\in S^{n-1}\) such that \(K\) possesses an outer normal at the boundary point \(\rho_K(u)u\) of \(K\) which lies in \(\eta\). For \(1\leq q\leq n\) and \(L\) a proper subspace of \(\mathbb{R}^n\), the authors establish an upper bound of \(\tilde{\mathrm{C}}_q(K,S^{n-1}\cap L)/\tilde{\mathrm{C}}_q(K,S^{n-1})\) in terms of the dimension of \(L\) and the number \(q\) and discuss the equality case. As a corollary, a characterization of the situation when an even finite Borel measure on \(S^1\) equals \(\tilde{\mathrm{C}}_q(K,\cdot)\) for some \(q\in [1,2)\) and some convex body \(K\) is given.
