This note discusses the permanence problem for the `almost strong lifting property' (ASLP) and for the `universal strong lifting property' (USLP, i.e., any lifting of the basic topological measure space is almost strong) with respect to inductive limits of topological measure spaces. Here we use the theory of inductive limits as developed by \textit{N. D. Macheras} [see Mathematika 36, No. 1, 116-130 (1989; Zbl 0662.28005)]. All results follow from a portmanteau theorem which exploits the notion of a `projective system of liftings', i.e., of a system of liftings in the factors which are compatible with the canonical maps of the inductive limit. From this theorem follow well-known existence results for strong liftings from literature such as those of \textit{A.} and \textit{C. Ionescu Tulcea} [Topics in the theory of lifting (1969; Zbl 0179.463)] and \textit{M. Sion} [Theory of semigroup valued measures (1973; Zbl 0312.28016)] for separable metric spaces, of \textit{S. Graf} [Pac. J. Math. 58, 419-426 (1975; Zbl 0277.46043)]and of \textit{A. G. A. G. Babiker}, \textit{G. Heller}, and \textit{W. Strauss} [Lect. Notes Math. 1089, 79-85 (1984; Zbl 0579.28002)] for locally metrizable spaces and \(\tau\)-additive measures. In addition, finite Borel measures on an analytic space have the USLP. This implies a strong lifting result of \textit{L. Schwartz} [Radon measures on arbitrary topological spaces and cylindrical measures (1973; Zbl 0298.28001)] for Lusin spaces.
