The objective of this paper is to study the concepts of small perturbations \(A\) that preserve the Jordan structure of matrices \(A_0\) that are selfadjoint with respect to an indefinite inner product and Lipschitz stability. A definition of the affiliation matrix \(S\) for the framework of an indefinite inner product in the case when \(A_0\) and \(A\) only have the same Jordan structure is given. Based on this definition the first main result of this paper which is the Lipschitz stability of the corresponding affiliation matrices both in the single and multi block case is proven by using some auxiliary results on semigaps and gaps between invariant subspaces. Also the definition of the canonical Jordan basis of an \(H\)-selfadjoint matrix \(A\) is given and the second main result of the paper is Lipschitz stability of canonical Jordan bases of \(H\)-selfadjoint matrices under small perturbations which preserve Jordan structure. Finally the above results are extended to the situation where perturbations partially preserve the Jordan structure.
