Invariant subspaces of operator Lie algebras and Lie algebras with compact adjoint action (Q2484456)

The article is devoted to invariant subspaces of operator Lie algebras, especially with compact adjoint action. Theorems about reducibility of such algebras satisfying additional conditions are proved. Ideals of operator Lie algebras are studied. Then ad-compact Lie algebras and their homomorphisms are described. In particular, Volterra operators and Engel-solvable algebras are considered. There is also introduced a definition of a superinvariant subspace, but it is not related with graded algebras or superanalysis, so it would be better to use some other name for this notion. Some theorems of Engel and Lie are generalized to compact operator algebras in the paper.
